MARS PLASTIC
The “MARS PLASTIC” SPRING/SUMMER 2015
collection is inspired by designer,
Praphat Somboonsitti’s childhood experienceof his
early art education and stationery wares.
In this collection,the basic art forms and shapes are
transformed into graphic designs and patterns. The
clothing material is inspired from the elements and
composition of metal pencil cases, erasers,
watercolor materialsand the graphic elements on
stationery wares.
The combination ofthe seemingly solid clothing
silhouette structures and the materials like neoprene,
PU and mesh fabric creates the feel and characteristic
of stationery wares in the clothing line. The primary
colors are white, black, red and blue; mixing together
into different hues. The metallic fabric implies to the
watercolor tubes.
